Warranty: At Malabar Gold and Diamonds, customers can exchange or return jewellery after 10 days from the delivery date, based on the prevailing rates at www.malabargoldanddiamonds.com or at the respective store. For exchanges, gold jewellery and gold coins are accepted at 100% of the benchmark gold rate, diamond jewellery at 100% of the gold rate plus 100% of the prevailing diamond carat rate (after deducting any purchase discount), and uncut (Era) jewellery at 100% of the gold rate plus 100% of the invoice value of uncut diamonds (less discount). Precious jewellery (ruby, emerald, sapphire) is exchanged at 100% of the gold rate and 75% of the stone invoice value (post-discount), while platinum jewellery is accepted at 100% of the platinum rate and 100% of the diamond value. For buyback, gold jewellery and coins are valued at 96% of the benchmark gold rate, diamond jewellery at 96% of the gold rate and 90% of the diamond rate (post-discount), uncut jewellery at 96% of the gold rate and 80% of the uncut diamond value, and Precia jewellery at 96% of the gold rate and 70% of the stone value. Solitaire diamonds (loose or studded) are bought back at 90% of the prevailing diamond rate, and platinum jewellery at 97% of the platinum rate and 90% of the diamond rate. Silver articles are bought back at 90% of the benchmark rate for 92.5 purity and 75% for 80 purity. All exchanges or buybacks require a valid invoice and ID proof, and items must pass a quality check, which may take up to 4 working days. Making charges, taxes, and non-precious stones (synthetic, zircon, pearls, beads) are fully deducted, and payments for buyback are made by cheque or bank transfer within 7–10 days. Malabar reserves the right to revise policies without prior notice and all disputes fall under the jurisdiction of courts in Calicut.
